[Form 13844 (Rev. 2-2024)] This form is used by low-income taxpayers to apply for reduced user fees or waivers for installment agreements with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Eligibility is determined by family unit size and adjusted gross income, which must be below certain thresholds based on the 2024 U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Poverty Guidelines. Taxpayers who cannot make electronic payments through a debit instrument may also qualify for waivers or reimbursements. Applications must be submitted within 30 days of receiving an installment agreement acceptance letter.
