[Form 8842 (Rev. 10-2021)] This form is used by corporations and certain partnerships required to pay withholding tax under section 1446 to elect one of the two annualization options under section 6655(e)(2)(C) of the Internal Revenue Code for figuring estimated tax payments under the annualized income installment method. Corporations and partnerships that do not want to use these options can annualize income using the Standard Option without filing this form. This document provides instructions for filing, signing, and addressing Form 8842. The form must be filed annually by the 15th day of the fourth month of the tax year for which the election is to apply.
