This document provides instructions on how to complete Form 944 (2023), which is used by individuals to calculate and pay employment taxes. The form includes information about the confidentiality of tax information, the penalties for failing to provide required information, and an estimated time to complete and submit the form.
The employer's share of FICA taxes for qualified sick and family leave wages is calculated by multiplying line 2g(iv) by 6.2% (0.062).
The qualified sick and family leave wages for the taxable year can be found on line 2g(ii) of Part 3 in Form 944.
The employer's share of Medicare taxes for qualified sick and family leave wages is calculated by multiplying line 2g(ii) by 1.45% (0.0145).
The credit for qualified sick and family leave wages is found by summing lines 2g, 2h, 2i, 2j, and 2k.
The credit for sick and family leave income adjustments is found on line 2n of Part 3 in Form 944.
