New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno have appointed Raymond P. Martinez as the Chairman and Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC). The NJMVC is responsible for issuing permits to public utility company employees who apply for an amber warning light permit, which allows them to use a motor vehicle owned or leased by the employee or a member of their family when performing official duties. The permit must be signed by both the employee and an authorized signatory from the public utility company that employs the applicant. The application must include a copy of the registration for the vehicle, a legible copy of the driver's license and social security card if not from New Jersey, and a check payable to 'NJMVC' for the total fee.
