Application for Log Loader License Plate

This document is an instruction for applying for a Log Loader license plate for vehicles used temporarily on public roads to load logs onto other vehicles, but not to haul logs. Applicants must submit the completed application, payment of $62.50, and a current photograph of the vehicle to their local county tax assessor-collector's office. Vehicles with Log Loader plates may only be used during daylight hours. The plate fee is non-refundable. Applicants must provide their first name, middle name (if any), last name, suffix (if any), address, city, state, ZIP code, county, email, phone number, current Texas plate number, year, make, body style, vehicle identification number, and empty weight. The application also includes a certification that the applicant is the owner of the vehicle, that the vehicle is not used to haul logs, and that it has mounted machinery used solely to load logs on other vehicles.
