Use this form as a letter of credit to be submitted by customer in lieu of bond. (Broker for the Transportation of Passengers or Passenger Carriers)

[OA 447 (08/14/2017)] A notary public certifies an Irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a Financial Institution to a Principal in Virginia. The letter guarantees payment up to $25,000 for any liabilities due from under Chapter 20 of Title 46.2 of the Code of Virginia resulting from fraudulent practices, breach of contract, or violations on or after a specific date. The letter is automatically extended annually unless the Financial Institution notifies the Department of Motor Vehicles of its intention not to renew. Any person suffering losses or damages caused by the Principal's transportation service has the right to draw from the Irrevocable Letter of Credit before its expiration.
